What is this?

Embark on a dice-driven adventure in a dynamic dungeon. Conquer the ancient-sealed lair of a relentless demon.

How it works?

An evil imperial army is on the verge of obliterating a small village, and the player characters (PCs) are sought out for help. The village offers a substantial monetary reward and valuable possessions as an enticement.

Within a nearby mine, a Demon of Destruction is locked away inside a vault, sealed by ancient residents of the village and miners using runes from a long-forgotten language. These runes were intended for use in desperate and hopeless situations, such as the imminent rule of evil by the imperial army.

To unlock the vault, the PCs must correctly place the runes of the ancient language on the vault's door, deciphering riddles that represent the sins associated with the demon (hatred, greed, disgrace, and hopelessness). The runes themselves are scattered throughout the mine.

The empire's malevolent spellcasters suspect the existence of this demon and have deployed guardians and traps throughout the mine to safeguard it.

Understanding the symbols and meanings of the ancient language requires knowledge of the language itself. The PCs have three alternatives to acquire this knowledge: conversing with the deceased miners using magic, interacting with the talking head of the gem master, or locating a lost rune dictionary amidst the rubble.
